Nicolaj Krog Larsen

Nicolaj Krog Larsen is Professor in the Section for GeoGenetics at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen.
The primary objective of his research is to advance our understanding of glacial processes, climate variability, and environmental change during the past 2.58 million years (the Quaternary period).
Together with his group, he combines extensive fieldwork in remote regions with a wide range of analytical methods to study glacial and interglacial deposits and landforms. A key source of information is multiproxy analysis, including environmental DNA from sediment cores extracted from lakes, bogs, and caves.
Within AEGIS, Krog Larsen has overall responsibility for the field operations and for the geological characterisation of all the samples collected in the project. He is also a member of the AEGIS Scientific Steering Committee.
