Lasse Vinner is Head of the GeoGenetics Sequencing Core Facility at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen.
At the core facility, Vinner and his team supports a wide range of projects across population genomics, genetics, conservation, biodiversity, evolution, environmental DNA, viral diversity, and human disease research. Equipped with state-of-the-art high-throughput sequencing instruments, the facility processes both ancient and contemporary material, generating the sequence data needed to address key biological questions.
Within AEGIS, Lasse Vinner is a member of the AEGIS Scientific Steering Committee and leads work on ancient sequencing data production and wet lab methods development. He played a central role in establishing the AEGIS laboratory infrastructure at the AEGIS hub, and manages the laboratory production team responsible for extractions and library preparation of ancient sediment samples, as well as a team of laboratory methods developers.
