Gabriele Berg is Professor and Head of the Institute of Environmental Biotechnology at Graz University of Technology.
Berg’s research focuses on microbiomes and on translating scientific results into new biotechnological concepts that benefit the environment as well as plant and human health. Together with her team, she works toward a vision of integrating microbiome research and management to prevent biodiversity loss, disease outbreaks, and the spread of multi‑resistant pathogens.
Gabriele Berg is a member of the AEGIS Scientific Advisory Board.
