Christian Gamborg

Christian Gamborg is Professor of Environmental Ethics at the Department of Food and Resource Economics, University of Copenhagen. He is a member of UNESCO’s World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST) and a former member of the Danish Ethics Council.
Gamborg conducts research and teaches in the field of environmental and natural resource ethics. His work examines the ethical dimensions of how humans use, manage, and relate to the natural environment. He is particularly interested in the management and policy implications of these ethical perspectives, as well as the normative foundations of disagreements and conflicts surrounding topics such as sustainable land use, forestry, agriculture, wildlife management, conservation, ecological restoration, outdoor recreation, modern biotechnology, and risk assessment.
Gamborg is a member of the AEGIS Ethics Advisory Board.
